Beauty and the Beast
Stage Kids launched in the Wenatchee Valley 4 1/2 years ago with 19 children at the Riverside Playhouse. Since that time, it has expanded classes, performances and summer camps to over 500 children each year. Stage Kids after-school clubs have up to 25 kids at area elementary schools. They teach theater basics, a training ground for responsibility, teamwork, and building confidence.
Often, the success of a show is determined by the number of tickets sold or the overall presentation. To Stage Kids, the process is just as important (if not MORE important!) than the performance, so they focus on challenging and growing the children and "Building Characters One Child at a Time.” After all, that's what makes a better show...theater skills are really life skills!
